Hello once more, my dear friends.
A couple of days ago, I introduced you to the world of Solandara. It’s an epic fantasy story spanning multiple books. The series title will be Solandaran Legacies. All books in the series will feature one central character: the main protagonist. There will also be a central antagonist for the series. The roles of the two characters in their respective books will vary, depending on the needs of the story. For example, the first volume of the series, The Solandaran Flame, features the main protagonist, but only mentions the antagonist in passing.
Alexis Merrin is my series protagonist. When we first meet her, she’s a quantum physics professor on Earth. Her studies include the possibility of other worlds, but when she’s finally thrust into one, she has to learn to survive and adapt. Not only that, but she’s prophesied to be the Empress who will bring peace to Solandara. She will grow and mature through each book, but won’t actually take on the role of Empress. That won’t happen until I’m done writing about Solandara, and her closing arc will be her fulfilling her destiny.
Now, with all that said, I’m starting here with her because in some ways, she’s a mirror to me. There are still quite a few differences in personality and upbringing, but there are some things in her that I can identify with. It’s hard to put my finger on precisely what it is, but I guess you can say she, like the other characters in my stories, holds certain aspects of myself to the light and lets them breathe.
So, for your reading pleasure, here is Alexis Merrin.
